Suggested Itinerary#

Your itinerary is exclusively yours to tailor to suit your group's interests and profile of your members. Here is our suggested itinerary:

Day 1 Venice & Teatro La Fenice

Scheduled flight to Venice from your preferred airport – transfer with our tour manager by water taxi into the heart of Venice – guided tour of the historic opera house of Teatro La Fenice dating back to 1789 – check in to the centrally located 4* All'Angelo Art Hotel.

Day 2 – St Mark’s Square, the Basilica of St Mark & Scuola Grande di San Rocco

Guided tour explores St Mark’s Square, described by Napoleon as ‘the finest drawing room in Europe’, and the Basilica of St Mark which was built in the 10th century to house the body of St Mark the Evangelist – guided tour of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, home to more than 50 paintings by Tintoretto.

Day 3 – Gallerie dell’Accademia & Ca’ d’Oro

Guided tour of the Gallerie dell’Accademia to introduce us to the wonderful collection of Venetian art including works by Titian, Carpaccio, Tintoretto and Veronese – Ca’ d’Oro, the House of Gold, is one of the most beautiful Gothic palaces on the Grand Canal and home to an excellent art collection including works by Titian and Francesco Guardi.

Day 4 – Islands of the Venetian Lagoon

Full day private boat trip to the neighbouring islands just off Venice – Murano, the island famous for its glass making – Burano, the most colourful of the islands with brightly coloured houses and easily recognisable from the tilting tower of its church – Torcello, barely inhabited, whose central piazza and its ancient buildings are a haunting reminder of a bygone era.

Day 5 – Peggy Guggenheim Collection

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Grand Canal is home to the most important collection in Italy of European and American art of the first half of the 20th century with works from Picasso, Mondrian, Dali and Pollock – water taxi to the airport for our scheduled flight back home.
